Streaming Audio & Video

eBooks, Book Databases & Audiobooks

• ÌýGeneral topic collection of eBooks (access is restricted to current Lawrence students, faculty, and staff).
• °Õ³ó±ðÌýÌýtab in the electronic resources guide includes multiple historic book databases, such as Eighteenth Century Collections Online.
• Ìýcan be accessed through the Appleton Public Library. These provide access to many popular fiction and non-fiction titles in eBook and audiobook format.Ìý An card is required, which is available to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û students by visiting the public library.

• The Mudd Library has a collection of audio books and other text CDs on the first floor.

Main Collection

Special Collections

• The library houses multiple special collections, which are collections that focus on a particular topic or historic significance. See our Special Collections page to learn more about the Civil War, Milwaukee-Downer, Kruse, and Wisconsin Collections, as well as the rooms in which they are held.

Reference Collection

• Our reference collection (located on the first floor) includes general and subject-specific encyclopedias, indexes, dictionaries, and more. We also provide access to a range of electronic reference sources. See the for a list.

Periodicals and Journals

Mudd Library subscribes to hundreds of paper periodicals and thousands of e-journal titles. Be sure to check , to verify what the library owns (includes both paper and electronic holdings). Print journals are located on Level A and selected popular magazines are located on the first floor. Search e-journal titles through the .

Government Documents

• The Mudd Library is part of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) to collect, preserve, and make available publications created by the U.S. government.
• We are also a Selective Depository Library through the , which means we receive a portion of the thousands of documents published by Wisconsin state agencies.
